On receipt of the form, CD copy of all application documents and fee, your details will be tabled at the next committee meeting for review and acceptance. All information regarding the Society is on the website www.assertnsw.org.au and www.assertnational.org.au

In applying for membership of ASSERT NSW and signing your application, you are declaring that you agree with the objectives of the association and will abide by the rules of the Society.

 

Professional membership $100.00 per financial year

General membership $50.00 per financial year

Student membership $25.00 per financial year

 

Please fill in the form as appropriate for your current level of Sexuality/Sexual Health education and work experience. Application for professional membership is assessed by ASSERT National.

 

A Professional Member is a member who has met the criteria set out by ASSERT National and has been accredited by ASSERT National.

Applicants for professional accreditation are required to submit a current Police Check on application and with each subsequent renewal (3 yearly). Child Checks are required for members working with children.

A General Member is a member who has a professional interest in sexuality and sexual health eg people working in counselling, education/training, health sciences, teachers, medicine/para medical, mental health, psychology, psychiatry, research, social work, etc.

 

A Student Member is a member who is enrolled in a relevant course or placement.

Cheques should be made payable to ASSERT NSW.

Applications for professional accreditation will be processed quarterly. More sessions may be called if needed.
